Job Title
Senior Field Applications Engineer (Korea)
Job Description
Position reports to Applications Engineering Manager under the VP of Sales.
- Provide expert technical support helping our customers successfully integrate the Audience voice processor into mobile phones and PCs.
- Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English
- Background in audio integration and debug in mobile phones
- Working with design teams to provide customer feedback on new products and features
- Preparing technical demonstrations for trade shows and customer visits
- Developing product based reference designs
- Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables
- Team and Customer focus
- Self motivated and strong commitment of job completion
- Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented
The successful candidate should be willing to travel to customer sites around the world. Travel expected to be typically 25% to 50%. Audience believes that application support is critical to extending our leadership position through helping our tier one customers succeed. The position will have a great impact on the overall success of the company and as a result carries with it the potential for high visibility and opportunity to benefit from Audience’s fast growth. Position reports to Applications Engineering Manager under the VP of Sales.
Key Experience
Required
- Mobile phone handset audio integration experience working at a mobile phone manufacturer
- Expertise in audio performance test procedure in mobile handset manufacturers
- Audio expertise including CODECS, AEC, and Noise Reduction
- Experience in cellular phone baseband chips architecture
- Expertise in debugging hardware (PCB level) and software bugs
- Familiarity with debug tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators
- 10+ years of industry experience related to mobile handset & audio related
- Ability to speak read and write in English.

Education Requirements
Required
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree.
