Mohan Gyani

Chairman of the Board,Roamware, Inc.

Mohan Gyani is currently the vice chairman of Roamware, Inc. and earlier, served as chairman and chief executive officer. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of AT&T Wireless Services, where he played a key role in the company's $10.6 billion initial public offering. Before that, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of AirTouch Communications, where he helped lead the $120 billion merger with Vodafone Group, and the subsequent $70 billion joint venture with Bell Atlantic that led to the creation of Verizon Wireless. He began his career with Pacific Telesis Group/Pacific Bell. Mr. Gyani also serves on the board of directors of Keynote Systems, Inc., Safeway, Inc., Union Bank and GSMA Ltd. wireless industry organization. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from San Francisco State University. 


Forest Baskett, PhD
General Partner, New Enterprise Associates

Dr. Forest Baskett joined New Enterprise Associates (NEA) in 1999 as a venture partner and became a general partner in 2004. Dr. Baskett focuses on information and energy technology investments. He also serves on the board of directors of AstroWatt, Chelsio Communications, Luxtera, Serious Energy and SuVolta. Prior to NEA, Dr. Baskett was senior vice president of research and development and chief technology officer at Silicon Graphics Inc. Before that, he founded and directed the Western Research Laboratory of Digital Equipment Corporation and was a professor of computer science and electrical engineering at Stanford University. Dr. Baskett earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Rice University and a doctorate in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a member of the National Academy of Engineering.

Marvin Burkett
Former Chief Financial Officer, Nvidia Corporation

A veteran of the semiconductor industry, Mr. Burkett brings nearly 40 years of experience with global semiconductor and personal computing companies. Most recently, he was chief financial officer and chief administrative officer for Nvidia Corp. Prior to that, he also served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Packard Bell NEC. He also spent 26 years at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where he held a variety of positions, including chief financial officer, senior vice president, chief administrative officer, and corporate controller. He began his career at the Semiconductor Division of Raytheon Company. He holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and business administration, both from the University of Arizona. He is also a member of the board of directors of Entegris Corporation.

Barry L. Cox

Barry L. Cox brings more than 40 years of executive leadership experience in the semiconductor industry, including an extensive background in international management. Most recently, he was executive chairman of the board of Brightscale, Inc. and previously served as chairman of the board for Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd., a semiconductor capital equipment company. Prior to that, he was executive chairman of the board at Quantum Effect Devices, Inc., which was acquired by PMC-Sierra, and held executive roles at Weitek Corp. and ATEQ Corp., a semiconductor equipment manufacturing company he co-founded. Before ATEQ, he was president of Intel Europe. Mr. Cox is also a member of the board of directors at Summit Microelectronics, Grandis, Inc., and Pixelworks. Mr. Cox holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master’s degree in business administration from Boston University.

Rich Geruson
President and Chief Executive Officer, Phoenix Technologies

Rich Geruson is president and chief executive officer of Phoenix Technologies a global leader in core systems software. Mr. Geruson’s career spans 30 years in the telecommunications and computer software industries, having served as chief executive officer of VoiceSignal Technologies, senior vice president at Nokia Americas’ mobile phone business, vice president and general manager of IBM’s networking distribution business in North America, vice president of worldwide marketing for networking hardware at IBM, vice president at Toshiba Americas’ mobile computing business and an executive at McKinsey & Co. Mr. Geruson also serves on the boards of directors of several other technology companies. Mr. Geruson completed three graduate programs from the University of Oxford including a Ph.D. in Economics and was a member of the research faculty at Harvard Business School, where he completed the book, A Theory of Market Strategy, published by Oxford University Press.


George Pavlov
Partner, Tallwood Venture Capital

George Pavlov is a general partner of Tallwood Venture Capital and has worked with the firm since its founding in 2000. He is an operational advisor across all of Tallwood's business verticals, and is also responsible for initiating, structuring and managing investments for the firm. Mr. Pavlov joined Tallwood from eTime Capital, where he was the chief executive officer. Prior to eTime Capital, he served as a general partner and chief financial officer at Mayfield Fund, as well as managing director and chief financial officer with Blum Capital Partners. Earlier, he held several financial and sales management positions at NeXT Computer. Mr. Pavlov is also a member of the board of directors of Alphion Corp., Amulaire Thermal Technology, Astute Networks, Calypto, and Quintic. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College.


Peter Santos
President and CEO, Audience

Peter Santos is president and chief executive officer of Audience and is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and execution. Mr. Santos joined Audience in 2004 and has directed the company’s market focus, product development and growth, from early development stage to its current position of market leadership in mobile voice processing. With more than 20 years of experience directing business, product and engineering strategy, he was previously vice president of marketing and business development at Barcelona Design, an analog semiconductor technology company. Prior to that, he was vice president of marketing at DSL systems provider, Voyan Technology, served as director of services marketing at Cadence Design Systems, and led worldwide ASIC product marketing at LSI Logic. Mr. Santos holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Colby College and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina.


Patrick Scaglia
Founding Director, Foundry@CITRIS

Mr. Scaglia is a founding director for the Foundry@CITRIS, which provides entrepreneurs with resources to build companies that make a significant impact on the world.  Under the umbrella of the Center for Information Technology in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) at UC Berkeley, Mr. Scaglia’s areas of initiative include healthcare, biosystems, robotics and semiconductor.  Previously, Mr. Scaglia was a Hewlett Packard executive for 12 years, serving as CTO across multiple groups. Before Hewlett Packard, Mr. Scaglia held VP and Director positions at HP Labs, Evans & Sutherland Supercomputer Division and Cadence Design Systems. He currently serves on several advisory boards including the College of Engineering, University of California Berkeley, and he is also on the board of directors of
